2. Information stored locally by the app
RingRoast may store ordinary app preferences locally on your device, including volume, looping, vibration, fade and victory-sound settings. The app may also store the version of the Terms of Use that you accepted and your acceptance status.
This local information is not intended to be transmitted to the Developer. Removing the app may remove these local settings, subject to how your device handles backups and restoration.
3. Calls, microphone injection and permissions
RingRoast is not designed to record, store, transcribe, analyse or upload the content of telephone conversations. On supported Apple devices, the app may request operating-system permission to add app audio to calls. The permission and related system setting are managed by Apple and your device.
RingRoast may read the local permission or availability status so it can show whether Direct Call Audio is ready. This status is used on the device and is not intended to be sent to the Developer.
4. Information RingRoast does not intentionally collect
At Version 1.0, the app does not intentionally collect:
- telephone call audio or call content;
- call history, caller identities or contact lists;
- precise or approximate location;
- photos, camera content or files;
- advertising identifiers;
- behavioural profiles or cross-app tracking data;
- health, biometric or financial-account information.
The app does not currently include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
5. Purchases and app stores
App purchases and refunds are processed by Apple, Google or the platform through which RingRoast is obtained. The Developer does not receive your full payment-card details. The platform may provide limited or aggregated sales, transaction, refund and diagnostic reports under its own terms and privacy policy.
6. Support communications
If you email us or otherwise contact support, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, device model, operating-system version, app version and description of the issue. Please do not send call recordings, confidential call content, passwords, payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Support information is used to answer your request, investigate problems, protect the service and comply with legal obligations.
7. Website and hosting data
This is a static website and does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. Our hosting provider may automatically process basic technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, for website delivery, security, abuse prevention and operational logging.
The website is hosted by Netlify. Netlify processes technical data under its own terms and privacy documentation.
8. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we process personal data when necessary to perform a contract or provide requested support, for legitimate interests such as security and troubleshooting, to comply with legal obligations, or on the basis of consent where consent is required.
9. Retention
Local app settings remain on the device until changed, reset, removed or otherwise handled by the operating system. Support communications are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain appropriate business records, protect legal rights or meet legal obligations. Hosting logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational policies.
10. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers that support the app or website, including app-store platforms, email providers and website hosting providers. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a genuine transfer of the RingRoast business, subject to applicable safeguards.
11. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are subject to appropriate legal safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
12. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to certain processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
Because most app settings are stored only on your device, you can usually control or remove them directly by changing settings, resetting the app or deleting the app.
13. Children
RingRoast is not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian must review and accept the Terms where the user is too young to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.
14. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we process. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in RingRoast, the website, service providers, legal requirements or business details. The version and date at the top identify the current policy.
16. Contact and complaints
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@ringroast.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the competent authority where you live.
